Dikutip dari laman Gulfnews.com, Jumat (25/5/2018), titik permasalahan bermula dari sebuah kontrak mahar antara pengantin pria dan keluarga mempelai wanita.

Dalam kontrak tersebut dijelaskan bahwa si pria sepakat untuk membayar mahar sebesar 100 ribu dirham atau setara dengan Rp 385 juta. Namun, saat pernikahan berlangsung, pria itu hanya membawa setengahnya dan sisanya masih tertinggal di dalam mobil yang diparkirkan.

Di depan saksi pernikahan, pengantin pria menyerahkan 50 ribu dirham pada pihak mempelai wanita. Sisanya, akan ia bayar setelah acara pernikahan usai.

Pernikahan pun sah. Anggota keluarga dari pihak pria dan wanita yang hadir melihat proses penandatangan kontrak merasa lega. Mereka kemudian keluar dari tempat pernikahan.

Tiba-tiba ayah dari mempelai wanita langsung menagih sisa pembayaran mahar tersebut. Sang pengantin pria pun meminta mertuanya untuk bersabar, karena sisa uang masih ada di dalam mobil yang terparkir.

Meski sudah dijelaskan, mertuanya masih bersikukuh agar uang mahar diambil saat itu juga. Sang mempelai pria pun memutuskan untuk mengambil sendiri uang yang ada di mobil.

Namun sang ayah mertua tak mengizinkan menantunya pergi, ia memerintahkan agar orang lain yang mengambil sisa uang mahar tersebut.

Diperlakukan demikian, si pengantin pria pun kesal. Yang tadinya bersabar jadi tak dapat menahan amarah. Saat itu juga ia menyampaikan perkataan cerai pada wanita yang baru saja ia nikahi selama 15 menit tersebut.

Kasus ini langsung diselesaikan ke ranah hukum. Pengacara pihak pengantin pria mengatakan bahwa kliennya merasa tersinggung atas ucapan mertuanya.

"Ia merasa terhina dan direndahkan oleh ayah mertuanya usai pernikahan usai," ujar pengacara pengantin pria.
